The actual costume left little to be desired by Jolene. The hair extensions interfered with her daily life and couldn't even be washed. Jolene as T'Pol- Jolene's latest project is to appear in the new Star Trek series Enterprise as T'Pol, a Vulcan science officer with a relationship to her Captain (Jonathan Archer played by Scott Bakula) more like Dr. Spock's rivarly with Dr. "Bones" McCoy than to his comradery to Captain Kirk. How does Bakula describe the tension? According to the Nando Times, the pilot episode features the intelligent conflict between Archer and T'Pol. Archer even tells her what she can do with her Vulcan cynicism. "I love this relationship," Bakula said. Archer doesn't give a you-know-what about what the Vulcans think. Archer and his crew are on the first Earth ship on an interstellar mission. For those fans who thought they would miss the mysterious beauty of ex-Borg Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan) on Voyager, they'll be delighted to witness the same curves - physical and intellectual - in T'Pol. The Nando Times interview states that Blalock understands the need to hint at the emotions T'Pol tries to hide the way Leonard Nimoy portrayed Spock. Both T'Pol and Archer are stubborn, but they can learn from each other. Jolene's fans won't being seeing her quite the way she appeared in her recent magazine spreads. Jolene describes her appearance in her interview with Maxim. "I wear the pointy ears and a wig with bangs, like Spock. I look like a little pixie." Despite her female lead role in the upcoming Enterprise prequel series, Jolene confessed to Maxim that she has never watched any Star Trek series except the original. "I'm a fan, but just of the original. I'm embarrassed because I've never watched the other shows." If you're wondering how Jolene feels about her 1960's counterpart her response won't disappoint you. "Spock is sexy. He's got those penetrating eyes. I have a poster of the 'Amok Time' episode, where Spock goes crazy because it's Vulcan mating season." One more quote from Maxim may leave her fans contemplating whether she was referring to T'Pol or herself when discussing the Vulcan mating season."I definitely go into heat. But let me tell you, it's not once every seven years like with Spock. I would not be a happy person." But our stunning heroine is in fact particular about what roles. She almost refused the role of T'Pol on Enterprise. "I passed on the [Trek prequel] three times without reading the script," she confessed to TV Guide Online. Whether her agent persuaded the 26-year-old actress via a neck pinch or a mind meld we'll never know, but she came to her senses and got on board with the high-profile project. "Had I passed on this," she says, "it would've been the dumbest move of my life. Talk about regrets! I'm so fortunate to be chosen for this part." Jolene's Personality- If you're curious to know what kind of response you'd get from Jolene by bluntly propositioning her here's a hint- When her own manager asked her to present herself topless to a director and then proceeded to give the man her client's home phone number, she fired them. So exactly what does Jolene look for in a man? Here's what she told Maxim, "I like men who are very cool but who are also so brilliant that they are almost insane. Sean Penn, Gary Oldman, Bob Dylan, Tom Waits-men who would be flipping burgers if they hadn't found an outlet for their brilliant mind-sets. I also like men who have hands with big masculine veins that you can squish and move." But if a man matching that description was currently committed to someone else, Jolene says stealing him away would not be intentional. |
